FML I allways get f**king lemons

The illuminated recticle shuts off when I shoot or even #### my AR....

Email sent to vortex since SFRC is out of stock....

Is the cap for the battery screwed in properly? Are the little "fingers" inside the battery cap flat? IF the fingers are flat, give them a slight pull outwards. Fixes the problem 90% of the time. I've had the same problem with my Excalibur Shadow Zone scope. Pulled out the little fingers inside the battery cap and voila!.. no more flickering or unwanted turning off. Hope this helps.

The cap is maxed out... I will check out the battery holder....

When you get it open use a pencil eraser to rub the contacts, it will remove any build up or contaminants and ensure proper current flow.
Once it goes off will it come back on from shooting or cocking?

I got to turn the turret for it to come back on....

I've never had this with my 1-4 PST.

But when I lent my vortex sparc to my buddy he described a similar problem with it turning off. Shot it that way for three weeks until I got it back, popped the battery cover off and discovered the battery hadn't been seated correctly.

Pulled out the little fingers inside the battery cap and voila!.. no more flickering or unwanted turning off. Hope this helps.

A small piece of cardboard (like a cig pack) placed behind the cap also helps if this is happening.

Pretty sure an update is in order for your title and first post..sounds pretty bad for a loose battery.
