Vortex PST 6-24 X50 Reviews?

Preferring SFP over FFP is one thing, but to claim one or the other is useless is just waiving your inexperience around for all to see (not directed to you, Tomochan).

Yes, I understand this...but when I dial in say 42.5 MOA on the turrets its 42.5 MOA no matter what power setting the scope is on so there is no math to do...I would even try to guess 42.5 mOA using hash marks.
Also using MOA turrets I don't have to try to figure out Mils or Mrads or anything, just dial the MOA you need and squeeze the trigger. What could be simpler?

do that quickly due to low time exposure and then talk to me also, what about leads??

*OP - good luck in making your choice, I'd advise you to do as much research as possible on the various options available to you.

I'm not saying the FFP scopes aren't any good or useless, I'm just saying that I personally don't see any great advantage to them for the type of shooting that I do. Although I've been shooting for 45+ years, I'm not a competative shooter, nor do I use my scopes in a combat situation. I normally range a target with laser binoculars so I do know the distance I'm shooting at. Also I don't take rushed shots (due to low time exposure) at long distance targets. Currently, I've only got one FFP scope, the one aspect about it that I'm not overly excited about is that the reticle covers more of the target at high magnification. Obviously, anything I've stated is only my opinion....I'm not saying that I wouldn't buy a FFP scope again, but to me it wouldn't be the determining factor.
Have fun!

Well that's definitely fair enough, but just FYI the PST 6-24x50 reticle covers only 0.18MOA of the target at the center of the crosshair. That means that it covers about 1.88" of the target at 1000 yards. Not many guys out there can shoot that precisely ;)

Another option would be the Bushnell 3.5-21, I played around with one at wholesale and it seems to be in a whole new bushnell league. It had the G2DMR reticle and seemed like it would be very useful but not over cluttered. I'm contemplating my first FFP scope and I think I'm gonna go with one of these.

@Jordan Smith: Not that I don't believe you, but can you point me to where you found how much of the target the reticle covers?

Thanks,
Cal.
