Vortex RAZOR® AMG™ UH-1™ RED DOT, Holographic Rifle Optic

Nice sight, and you don't have to pay an extra $150 for a quick detach mount. Really like this unit, will wait until they show up on EE for $500 :)

any distortion or flaring from certain eye conditions like the eotechs? Got rid of 2 eotechs because of that....if these have corrected for that... I'm in :)

This is not a fixable problem from the optic... only prism sights with etched glass will do that, however you lose the red dot advantage of point and pull the trigger, eye alignment comes into play.

As far as the flaring goes it can be fixed in 3 ways... laser eye surgery, corrected contacts specifically for that issues (talk to your doctor) and finally put a magnifier behind it (this fixes it).

Razor is the line of optic.... not sure what's complicated?

It's not just the line of optics. It is, in fact, four very distinct lines of optics, each with options within their price bracket.

Their top-end low power and high power magnified optics:

Their intermediate power magnified optics:

Their small red dot sight:

And now their new holographic dot sight:

Oh, and a spotting scope, which is arguably in the same "line" as their high-power magnification optics.

It's a silly naming convention.

No Razor is there too line within the type of optics.... similar to Viper is their mid their line within each optic type.....

None the less, not the place for this conversation.

Hey,

I've got a preorder for one of these with you guys, and I see they're shipping in the states. I've called three times looking for an update and you always promise to find out and call me back but so far you haven't called back. So I'll ask here.

Any updates?

Vortex has advised us they will be receiving them the second week of July. I have emailed our rep and will hopefully get an answer this week.

The wait is well worth it! I picked mine up at Wanstalls this past weekend, a bit heavy but great optic solid, clear, crisp and easy to see reticle in bright sunshine. This will be going on an 8" 9mm AR with Hera Arms CQR stock and fore end, just waiting now for a new barrel.
