Vortex Razor gen 1 vs Gen 2?

I have been trying to do some research on the differences between them. I'm lookin for a good lightweight FFP scope for hunting under $2000
Max would be 5-20x56 but prefer 3-18 x50

Suggestions

For hunting, I prefer locking turrets
Which the gen2 has, and the weaver tactical 3-15 illuminated is also FFP and has locking turrets

Look elsewhere.

I just picked up a gen2 today. Wow the glass is amazing and who cares about the weight.

I've got the Gen 1 and I love it. I don't care about the weight as I enjoy long range target practice. From what I've been told the Gen 2 has been revamped with new glass. I've also had the chance to put the Gen 1 and Gen 2 side by side. And I can honestly say the Gen 2 looks brighter and more clear than the Gen 1. And yes it is heavy.
