I was wondering if anyone here has had first hand experience with both scopes?

Currently own Razor gen ll 4.5-27x56
As a casual shooter i wouldn't mind downgrading if the sacrifice is not too big.
1200 rounds later, i still have a hard time getting used to the EBR 2C reticule. Feels too crowded, for it to feel ok i need to use zoom range 20 to 27, under 20 feels like the christmas tree clogs up view.
Other than that, and being quite heavy scope, i have no complaints, i have never seen a clearer scope in person (haven't had the chance to play with NF, SB PMll etc...)

I am considering, maybe, either switching out for a razor gen ll EBR 1C reticule, or even go NF NXS since i don't compete.
For having seen through a viper PST, i do not wish to downgrade to this level, as the razor is quite a beauty lens wise.
If i do make my mind around travelling quite a bit to try PRS, i realise i have one of the scopes to own.

I guess it all depends what you plan on using it for. You said it was too heavy, I'd recommend looking at the Vortex Razor AMG but if you don't really like the Xmas tree reticle, thats not the right scope either. To me I think the NXS is a step down from the Gen II. If you like the scope and just want a different reticle, I'd see if you could trade it for a EBR 1C, or maybe contact Vortex and see if it's possible to have that reticle put in your scope for a fee. That might be cheaper than taking a hit on selling or trading your current scope.

Well that’s the thing
The scope cost me 3700$ with taxes
Selling it 3100$ on the EE is quite a hit for the sake of a reticule

I’ll see what i can do with vortex we never know

As for weight, my rifle setup weighs 16 lbs
I don’t think shaving 1 lb would be all that beneficial

^This. Someone who shoots prs may happily trade you for your scope with Xmas tree ret.

Yeah that seems like a plan
Next week ill put a few ipsc mini targets at 100 and 200M

Try to run the rifle a bit quicker and at low mag, just to make sure the switch is warranted
If it is, i’ll probably start by local listings, so i can inspect in person , as my scope has been treated with great care, and ending up with one with sratches, dings, ring marks... would be a bummer
