Just got my vortex razor HD rifle scope and it looks unreal!!!! Clicks are crisp unlike the mark 4 there is no mush. Glass is amazing and i will hopefully get to take it out to the range this week. But soo far i am very impressed! I will post a follow up after in the next couple of days.

how did you pay for it?

well, you could whore yourself out to a thousand fat chicks for fifty bucks apiece.
or fifty REALLY fat chicks for a thousand bucks.
what? don't look at me like that. fat chicks need love too. but they gotta PAY!

Umm, the scope retails for $2,200. Not $50,000.

Mine is awesome too, very clear glass. The Zero Stop is very handy when dialing in elevation corrections...it brings you right back to your original zero setting with out having to count the clicks or remember how many rotations you made. And I like the fact the reticle and turrets match, I saw a scope this past weekend that had a MRAD reticle with MOA turrets, that is just too much math for me!

It might be a stupid question, but what makes the Razor HD that much better then the Viper PST 6-24x50 FFP scopes? I'm not trying to start a debate here,
I'd really like to know the differences. Vortex doesn't seem like a company that would charge that much more unless it was warranted.

Also, the Razor HD is made in Japan, the Viper PSTs are made in the Philippines.

I don't think Razor is made by Vortex but by someone else for them, someone who sells their scopes for more then price of Razor

An equivalent FFP NF scope is over $3k. So lots of savings for equal quality. ;)

You appear to be shopping in the wrong places.
The NF F1 3.5x15x50, which is the only FFP scope NF makes is UNDER $2600.00 by a fair bit, so priced about the same as the Razor HD.
That being said the 5x20 magnification that the Vortex has makes it more desirable in my mind.

Ask me in a few weeks once I have had a chance to get out a bit with my Razor HD. This is the only other scope I have that is not a NF, so the comparison will be interesting.

I would also be interested in your findings please be sure to start a new thread on this subject.

I got my PST in the mail last week. It's very hard to argue with the value of these scopes. They're built well, the glass I'd say is the same or slightly better then the Bushnell tactical line, and the overall finish is very eye friendly. It's feature packed for the price point.

The one thing that we don't talk about much, that I think makes the world of difference is Vortex's CS and warranty. I had the pleasure of talking to one fellow over there, the PST scope I got never came with lens covers. This gentlemen apologized and asked if I wanted the regular elastic band covers or the flip caps, he said he would send me the flip cap version at no charge. A+ I also chatted with him about the warranty, he said it doesn't matter what you do to it. If your gun falls off your quad and breaks the scope in half send it back and we'll send you a new one no questions asked... This is the reason I bought one, no questions asked warranty for life and great CS.
