vortex scopes?

From what I have heard or read the Vortex optics are excellent. The people I've talked with that own either their scopes or binos are impressed. They are supposed to be well made and have an excellent warranty. Their Viper series is reported to be better than Leupolds VX ll series and very comparable to VX IIIs. Similar, but not quite as good eye relief as the Leupolds with a price point that is significantly lower. The only drawback I've heard of is their weight, 2 to 3 oz heavier than a similar style Leupold.

Real world experience? Nope, sorry, none. I ordered a 2-7X32 three weeks ago based on research alone. It was backordered, and I have yet to receive it.:( Time will tell, I guess.

Last year I bought a Vortex Viper in 6.5-20X44 from Powderkeg in Kamloops for just over $500.00. I've only had it out a few times, and I've never used a scope before, but I'm really happy with it. Good price and outstanding warranty, google them and check it out.

Can't speak to the scopes, but Vortex binos are incredible. I use mine at work daily and love to compare my 10x42 Vipers to my co-workers Swarovskis at dusk. The 1500$ I saved sure feels good in my pocket!! Their warranty is solid too.
