Anyone here ever tried one? I am looking at the Diamondback in 3-9X40 with the V-Plex reticle for my son-in-law's birthday.

What is the clarity like? Are they repeatable? Quality?

Your help is appreciated.

I can't say anything about field use but they are clear opitcs with a great warranty. I just bought a pair of 8.5X50 binos and they blow away the bushnell legends for a lot less money.

Do a search on "vortex" I remember reading a couple threads on this same question. Many people seem to be impressed by this scope, and they are supposed to have a great warranty. I been waiting for a chance to look through their glass, but no one around here sells this product.

I just put a Vortex Strike Fire on my Norinco CQ56. I dont shoot a whole bunch so I didnt really want to spend the $$$ on a real Aimpoint. I payed $190 for the Strike Fire. I mounted it and went out last week and put 100 rounds down range and the sight worked flawless. If the rest of their scopes work like this one they are a great buy.

The Vortex scopes from Diamondback up are very good quality and an excellent value scope for the money. I would compare them favorably to a scope that would cost you 25 - 30% more. Optics, weight, relief are all very good, and the warrantly is a forever 100% replacement warranty (on the diamondback and up). I have one and like I said great value for the money, well worth it for sure. It's not a high end Burris, Leupold, or Nikon, but it's certainly imho along the quality level of a 4200, certainly nicer than the 3200.

I mounted a 6.5-20x50 BDC Viper on my 300 win mag for deer this season and was not disappointed. to accompany the scope i had along a pair of Vortex binos. Well early morning haze, just after sunrise I spotted a deer in the field. Binos up, it is a doe, scope up at 6x, still a doe, so for interestes sake I crank up the magnification fully expecting to not see at all due to sun glare. sunrise was on my left across the field. well it was a doe, i could see fine. i have had many scopes in the same field condtions where at the high end power there is nothing but glare in the scope. 10 minutes later, the buck joined the doe, i got him at 14x power.

evening hunting same satisfaction. google vortexcanada for a dealer near you.
even the cross fire is as good or better than any bushnell 3200 scope.

I love how it say's "American Ice"

I watched that video before buying mine and it's a pretty cool test....I do enjoy the irony of the 'Vortex Optics Independent Riflescope Test' where he's wearing head to toe vortex gear though lol

I put a vortex Viper 6.5 X 20 x 50 on my .308 about four months ago. Leopold has sold me their last scope. It's clarity is better and the price is right.
