Vortex SPARC battery options

Has anyone tried using the smaller CR2032 battery with a nickle placed on top in the vortex SPARC? Some US threads are saying it will work fine however i'm wondering if anyone has tried it, with the thinner Canadian nickle.

CR2354's are hard to find in town.

Ok... so I tested a 2032 battery with a canadian nickel behind it...80 rounds down range and it worked like a charm

a penny works too, and it's cheaper if you can find one.
