Hi All,

I zeroed the Vortex SPARC with the included magnifier at 20 yards, but when I remove the magnifier it shoots a couple of inches to the right and about the same distance high. Any ideas? Is that the parallax problem or a defective magnifier lens or something else?

Thanks

Send all your SPARC stuff into Vortex for warranty... They won't even look it over to see what, if anything, is wrong with it. They will simply send you brand new replacements. For what the SPARC costs Vortex, it is not worth it for them to diag the problems, and try to repair them. It is more cost efficient for them to just send you a new one.

This is what happened when my red dot on my SPARC did not change intensity. I sent it in, and they sent me a new one.

Thanks, Strider. That's what I'll do. I just wanted to check if this is something normal or not, as I'm just getting into optics. I thought maybe there was some more objective test that could be performed to find out if I'm doing something wrong.

There's really nothing to set up on the SPARC but the intensity of the red dot. As soon as something doesn't seem right on it, or starts acting a bit weird, just call up Vortex and tell them that you're gonna' be sending in a SPARC with these problems/concerns. 99.9% of the time, you're gonna' get a new one...
