I know there are a few threads about whether or not to get one, is it comparable to the PST line, are they in stock etc etc, but I also know there are several of you that have them now since mid-summer.

How do you find them? Do they work well? Any complaints / regrets? I run the PST's on several of my range guns but was considering the strike eagle for the greater magnification as it may accompany me on the occasional wolf hunt mounted on my soon to be delivered ACR.

FWIW: Went to buy one the other day at Al Flaherty's. Out of stock. Counter guy says "I bought one for my AR because its a 1-6 at a really nice price....it turns out to be junk. It's the same as my Simmons 1-6, maybe even made in the same factory. About the only thing you get is warranty for the extra $250"

I cannot confirm or deny the above.

Enjoy!

Very interesting, thanks for the reference.

I know the nikon guy will freak at me if he reads this, but I always wondered if vortex/nikon was made in the same factory as well.

Pretty pleased with mine and find no issues whatsoever. Sits on my ACR in a qd mount. Getting used to the recticle was the most difficult issue, and that was really no issue at all. I'd recommend it. Good luck :)

We're a bit baffled here, unless it's the guy who left, nobody on staff owns a Strike Eagle, they sell out before they get to the store...

Message me and let me know if you remember who you talked to. As for the Simmons, it's not bad, and it's very similar to the Vortex SE

That said, BHP has a good price in USD, but they can't export the scopes, and chances are the taxes would bring it up to the same range

"Due to export regulations and/or manufacturers restrictions, we are unable to accept orders with a shipping address in CANADA for the following item(s):
Simmons Predator-Varmint 1-6x24 Riflescope (StrikeZone 223)

Here's the link to it on our store $318.99

While I don't have a Strike Eagle I've used 2 on different ARs that are owned by various friends. My take is that the Strike Eagle is reasonable value for the money with a 1-6x zoom and an illuminated reticle which make them very usable for CQB or IPSC rifle. The down-side is that the glass is not great. At the 1x magnification there is colour distortion, some optical aberrations at the edge of the field-of-view and 1x (at least on the scoped I have tried) that isn't exactly 1x (more like 1.1x). I find that the latter two factors are quite distracting although it may not affect everyone.

I have to admit I'm on the edge of buying/not-buying. I like the product features and the price is hard to beat but the poor glass makes me want to see what the competition will offer this year or next.

Using one on my ACR

Works great and glass is great just like all vortex optics. The BDC works quite well out to 500 meters (haven't shot further yet).

No target turrets but I find I don't need them with the BDC reticle

We must've spoken to the same guy because I got an almost exact reply when I inquired about the Strike Eagle in early Sept

Hmm, there's an individual that stopped working here towards the end of that month, might be him. Regardless nobody on staff has owned one, and the scopes pretty much bounce out the door when they arrive, lol

We apologize if there was any confusion about this.

Took a look at one recently and was told it was for an AR type rifle. I was considering it for a high power rifle where I did not need a lot of power for the intended rifle. I did not find the set-up suitable to my eye. So I passed on it.
