I have the Strikefire and don't care too much for it. Price was ok but would have rather spent $100 more on something mid quality that I'd actualy use instead of leaving in a bag as a loaner.
Lots of bad reviews on another thread here, warranty is very good, but quality is typically Chinese. I'm thinking that anyone in Germany(orig. poster) has their pick of the worlds best optics, why would they be looking at Vortex??
Well in my opinion you're looking at 2 very different things. The strikefire is a red dot site with no magnification. The Crossfire is a scope with magnification (more or less depending on the model). Are you going to be shooting targets up close or far away? Are you going to be moving around a lot (Hunting, tactical drills) or shooting from a bench/prone? Lots of things to consider. And what gun is it going to be used for?
