Vortex Venom Red Dot - shut off for no reason.
Venom Red Dot, bought this 10 month sitting in the safes. First time to use and it was installed to Glock Gen17, after 20 rounds, red dot shut off for apparent no reason!:mad: removed the battery cap and tight again - NO RED DOT.:redface: When got home, went straight to see the receipt - unfortunately 10 months old. And when checking the Vortex Venom - RED DOT RE-APPEAR.:eek::)
Any one had an experienced of this junk red dot? Thanks
 
Yes, it happens unfortunately. I had two venoms do the same thing to me and had them replaced under warranty. The 3rd time I asked them to replace it with a Viper and it seems to be ok.

Vortex is good with their warranty (lifetime), unfortunately these red dots don’t stand up to the abuse of being installed on a handgun.
 
Its a vortex. Send it back theyll replace it with another to be sent back again so you can brag about their warrenty and forget about the times your gun sat without optics
