Vortex Viper and Cadex unitized mount torque specs

Hey guys, I have a Vortex Viper PST II Scope, and a Cadex Unitized mount.

I cannot seem to find any torque specs from Vortex re: mounting scope. Cadex manual for the mount says "Secure all 6 screw to 20-25 in-lb using the order shown beside"

The guy at the shop when I was buying the torque wrench said that 20-25 in-lbs seems a bit high for the rings, but it's whats in the manual.

Do I go by the mount specs, or are there Vortex scope specs I should follow?

I always do 18in-lbs myself and have the exact same scope but with Vortex match rings.

Anything over 18 could damage the scope, I always go by the Scope specs

Vortex recommends 15-18, with no thread locker.

If the manual for the mount says 20-25 id go 18-20.
