So my understanding is the my Viper HS 6-24X50 has 50 MOA of adjustment for elevation. I was wondering why the hell I could not sight it in bang on with a 20MOA rail on my rem 700 at 50 yards. I had to switch to a falt rail Looking at the other Vipers the base model Viper PA 6-20X50 had 68 MOA of elevation and the Viper HS LR has 75.
My eye is not seeing and difference other then the XLR Reticle and 7 more MOA of adjustment for a huge price difference then the base Viper. I am needed a second Viper for my new 300 win mag.
I thinking the Viper pa 6-20x50 is the best choice. Am I missing something here ?
I should mention in winter I am limited to the 50 yard indoor range but in warmer weather I would like to get into long distance. My new Savage has a 20moa rail so I know I do not want another Viper HS
