Vortex vs Bushnell quality?

Hello,
How does Vortex compare to Bushnell quality pound for pound? I'm runnint a 2x7x32 Bushnell 3200 on my 7mm-08 and am thinking of a new scope with a tad more power and no I'm not intersted in Leupold.

i have a viper pst and a bushnell 6500. I find the glass better on the 6500. the viper line are well priced for the quality and have a less of a pita warranty from what i'm told.

I like my 3200's, but they are far from premium glass. The coating on the lenses that bead moisture is nice.

Which line of Vortex are you comparing to which line of Bushnell? The Viper is comparable to the 4200, and the Diamondback to the 3200, and I assume the Razor is comparable to the 6500, although I haven't used those last 2 scopes personally.

the Diamondback will out perform the 3200 and the Viper has a few more bells and whistles yet. Both the diamond back and viper are purged with argon vs the nitrogen in the bushnell tubes. dollar for dollar value, you get way more bang for your dollar in the Vortex line

I WAS a Bushnell customer, for four years now nothing but Vortex and I couldn't be happier. The Diamondback and Vipers are great scopes and yes the warranty is fantastic, although I haven't used it yet!

When i compare the warranty treatment from bushnell to the experiance my friend had with vortex i would have to strongly dissagre with this statement.

I bought a vortex and out of the box it would not hold a zero. For the first one I bought I am not impressed.

I guess you get what you pay for.

Did you return it? How was the warranty service?

my warranty service from Vortex was flawless. could not ask for more. my Binos came back completely refurbed. the warranty issue was wear and tear from 4yrs of VERY extreme use. I have been very impressed with the quality of the vortex optics. for the price i'd choose them over Bushnell any day.

vortex replaced for free my screw in optic doubler for my sparc after i dropped it and broke it even though it wasnt covered under the warrenty. i will buy nothing but vortex with service like that.

Every bushnell i have every had problems with, 4 in total were fixed or replaced within 30 days, friend of mine bought a vortex that turned out to have a bent tube, so bad infact the scope could not be mounted.
Vortex called it customer abuse and refused to repair.

I know the people at Vortex, they would not treat a customer in this manner. If the scope is no good call 1-866-343-0054. If it is broken, they WILL fix it.
