I wouldn't take anything they say at SAIL or Lebaron as true or knowledgeable.... Staff are pretty clueless at both places.

Thank you. Both have competitive prices. Nikon Travis has worked to sort out some distribution issues here in Ontario, which is still on-going as of yesterday. If ON fails, then I will order from out west.

Travis from Nikon gave a rundown of the lineup in post #11. Basically prostaff is 2piece tube vs Monarch 1 piece. Then the different numbers denote 1" VS 30MM tube. Also dealers still have old stock kicking around with old designations muddying the waters. Just read post #11 carefully if you're considering purchasing Nikon.

I'd always recommend to go play with our SpotOn ballistic calculator, I know I know, everyone has one. Ours is different, its updated constantly and if you are not a fan of see thru circles we can actually give you the yardages of where the circles cross the "Y" axis. Right above the reticle in the app (free on our website) you'll see a button "Click here to expand BDC circles". That will actually give you the crosses/ hashmarks/ intersections of the top and bottom of each circle. Giving you 8 hashes along with zero and bottom post. Black are the hashes, red is center of the circle. Try it, might at least change your thinking. I also noticed just now the Monarch 5 scopes are in the program so if you want a sneak peek at the reticle with windage (finally) here's your chance.

Monarch 3 - One piece build, 4x eyeboxes, rated shockproof as well as water/ fog proof (all scopes are water/ fog proof), includes flip up eyecups and again a step up in glass quality. (Also look at FOV, eye relief, abberations, barrel distortion and flat image. All top notch) Monarch 7 is the same series in 30mm tubes.

Monarch 5's have been announced and will be out in the fall, one piece build, 5x eyeboxes, ED (extra low dispersion) glass, Advanced BDC (we've finally added windage). I haven't seen a live one yet though.

Any of the other series feel free to post here or if its an older model I can get you the comp. Just getting back from holidays so I'm a bit behind. :)

Thanks for the info. I was just looking at the Nikon scopes at Cabela's and was wondering what the differences were.
