I have a Vortex SPARC red dot on an 835 shotgun with a Knoxx recoil reducing stock. I put 50+ slugs and 200+ skeet rounds through it before the screws holding it to the base sheared off. Although I may have over torqued them, when I shipped it to the contact address for Vortex online and emailed a Canada post tracking #, they had a new one on the way. It was waiting for me when I got back from work yesterday. I'll be more careful about the screw torque and see how this one goes. I'm glad I spent $50 more on the SPARC that is covered by the VIP warranty, rather than the cheaper red dot that isn't.

What about if you buy second hand? Thinking of picking up a vortex on the EE and saving a few bucks, but it wont be worth it if something breaks and I am SOL

I bought a 2nd hand Vortex Crossfire 8-32 x 50 and the paralax was totally out to lunch. The sun shade had been munched, was out of round and wouldn't attach. I sent it to them and expected them to do as their warranty says ..... forward to the USA service center and eventually get back to me. I was fully prepared for them to charge me for a new sun shade.
Well ............. less than a week later there was a brand spanking new scope at my door, no charge, no questions asked!
Man was I impressed! :D:D:dancingbanana::dancingbanana::D:D

But, but it's made in China!

And it doesn't cost cost $1000!

Give your head a shake! ;)

My Strikefire died it's first time out, was immediately replaced, no hassle and has been fine since with plenty of rounds fired.

this is good to hear cause my SPARC is messed up, won't shut down sometimes, now i just have to find out if the painting it along with the rifle voids the warranty!

Yep. I love everything about Vortex! Great products to fit any budget and excellent bang for your buck. My 12X50 Vulture binos recently had a problem with a lens lock ring coming loose and rattling inside so I called Vortex Canada, and a nice lady named Brenda picked up the phone on the third ring. So nice not to have to press 1 for english and wait on hold for 20 min! They opted to replace them rather than repair, and as soon as I gave them the tracking number for my broken ones they shipped a new set. Keep up the good work Vortex!
