Vortex warranty

Just wanted to give a shout out to Vortex for great customer service when it comes to their scopes.

I have a Razor HD 1-4x24 riflescope, and the flip up cap for the eyepiece broke. So I called, and they took down my name and address and shipped it straight out. They were really great to deal with.

I had a great time with them last year with replacing my 6-24. Just last week, my buddy left the illumination on when I let him play with my 4-16 and now the illumination has burnt out (not a dead battery). I asked for the same service (immediate replacement vs wait for a month) and they (Jason) said they can't do that. I guess Brenda is the person to deal with when it comes to returns.

Sure seem to be a lot of threads about Vortex warranty in the optics forum.

When I bought my scopes the store just said bring it back to them and they will give me a new scope no questions asked.

Vortex I find has great (incomparable) customer service, but not very great QC. I am already on my 2nd problem with their precision mounts (rusted and not very precision mated). The Vortex Viper PST I have not yet had to have a full range day because of it.

The only Vortex product I own is their Razor HD 1-4x24, and it's been great. The lens cap breaking is the only issue I've had, and this thing has been dropped/bumped multiple times, and hasn't even lost zero. As for mounts, I'll stick with LaRue, Warne or Weaver.
