Just want to share a positive experience with Vortex optics. I bought a 1-4 Crossfire II awhile back to put on my AR. Second trip to the range the rifle fell out of the rack and landed on the scope ruining it. I was initially a little upset but after cooling down I went online to check Vortex warranty policy. I didn't know when I bought the scope that they have a great warranty. I sent the scope back after filling out the form. In less than 2 weeks I received a new scope in the mail. I know Crossfire isn't a high end line but I find the glass quite good and adjustments and tracking acceptable for the price point. I hear lots about how having a great warranty doesn't excuse an inferior product but in this case it had nothing to do with product quality but I sure appreciate not having to shell out for a new scope

i have a few vortex scopes. 2-7, 3-9, and 1-4 and they are great and light. However i bought a strikefire red dot for my fx-9 and couldn't be more dissapoint. the red dot simply does not turn on in the cold. it drains batteries when off and the buttons hurt my fingers to make it work. i own 3 of those great little bushnel trs25s and all are still on their original bateries and work all the time. i wonder if i could send my vortex reddot back as im guessing i should be able to expect at least similar function to a reddot that cost less than half as much.

I used to sell Vortex scopes. They have without a doubt the best customer service in the industry. I had a customer who's house caught fire. He brought me in the scorched out hull of the vortex diamondback binos. I put them in a box and sent them back to Vortex. 1 week later a new pair came back to the shop for him. I also not hesitate to recommend them.

i would send t back under warranty. Vortex will make it right, no questions asked. I had issues with an original Sparc not turning on and they replaced it with the Sparc2.

Take Care
