I picked up a Vostok 22 lr today. Is Russian made extremely heavy barrel, crisp trigger and peep sights. All in all good shape.Who can tell me about these?

More info needed, preferably pictures. It could be anything from a club grade entry level target rifle worth $150 to a $1000 competition grade rifle.

I do not believe it is the original stock but was made to fit nicely. The rear peep sight is a Williams side mounted.I think it is an Ural model that has the stock replaced or maybe they come in a carbine model. The top has stamped TO3(maybe Z) 8-01.,made in USSR..Side is stamped VOSTOK 22 LR.It has a 7 digit serial #.It has 2 proof marks on the left side in circles and a diamond shaped proof mark on the right side.It also appears to have a match chamber. It is perfectly balanced and I'm taking it to the range tomorrow.Any info would be great. Thanks

i think these guns were imported by RUKO at one time. They are good guns, have had two of the 7rd clip sporters....very accurate!

They're nice rifles. The fit/finish isn't as good as the German stuff but they still shoot well and are very well made.

Rimfire Central has a lot of information on the Russian rifles. I found info on my first generation CM2 Vostock from that site. It's a good resource.
