Turning down a defiance bolt is a matter of opinion, and in mine it doesn’t need to be done. I own 6 defiance actions and have never had a issue with any of them.

How many field matches have you had them too ?? Just wanting to gauge the types of conditions you have had the 6 through...rain..mud..dry dust from open areas or covered canopyy in mountain type terrian ?? Not a lot shoot the US field matches and most feed back comes from under cover square range conditions with dont really count. Thanks
Shawn wait till you shoot a match in rock lake and they make you shoot over the sand that’s at there range it will jamb up your gun if you done clean it after that stage. It gets everywhere and it’s nasty stuff.
Both are great options I don’t think there is a wrong choice here.
My Impact just showed up and I am very impressed with it.
The trigger hanger, nitried finish, (integrated lug and rail is the same on both actions ) played a role as well as the option to order pre fits, even though I am not going pre fit for the first tube.

How does the trigger hanger time the trigger? Are they adjustable fore-aft? Or do they come in different fore-aft positions?
I believe they adjust vertically, so you can get the optimum sear engagement. Too much sear engagement = very stiff and heavy bolt lift/close, too little = the firing assembly will not stay cocked.
Triggers such as the BnA Tacsport you can adjust the sear engagement, as well as they have replaceable sears of different heights to better suit different actions.
People love to talk about how an action "feels", but most don't understand how important the mating between the trigger group and firing assembly plays in that. A great action can feel subpar or even pretty sh*tty if not properly mated to a trigger.
One of the reasons why I love the BnA Tacsport triggers (besides how crisp and awesome they feel, and their adjustability) is the adjustability of the sear engagement and different sears available.
I wouldn't recommend AW mags with any 2 lug action anyways. Sometimes they work, most times they don't.
AICS mags work perfectly well. If you want to run AW man, buy an AI rifle.

Good for you, I’m very happy for you and your choices.
