Not quite the same type of test though.
I'd think just about any pistol with its action open when dumped and left in mud is likely to jam.
This was not a will your pistol shoot while under water test? Unless you are a Seal/SBS operator..... The VP9 was dumped in a puddle with action closed then fired in open air.
I have no intention of selling my VP9 based on this or any test. Its still a fine pistol just not up to military standards.
Wow, one of the reasons I don't come on gunnutz anymore.
MAC is a nice enough guy and offers videos that I'm sure help him pay the bills.
This is hardly a "scientific test". Come on, throwing the gun against a steel pepper popper? There are so many variables, distance, how hard you throw the gun, where the gun actually hits the popper.....do this 20 times and maybe you get 20 different results.
The last most comprehensive scientific and by far longest, most expensive test ever conducted on handguns was the US Department of Homeland Security testing. Millions spent on the testing. The results are not available to non-LE qualified people. They tested
everyone who dared to throw in for one of the biggest LE Pistol contracts ever awarded.....40 000 guns. Example, sand testing. They did heavy sand, medium sand, light sand. Put the guns in chambers to circulate the sand, same with mud dirt etc. The testing went on for months. Only two handguns passed the testing....HK and SIG. They were both awarded contracts to supply guns. I have a Glock, I've competed with Glock and won with it. I love Glocks....but it failed the DHL testing. Glock is an excellent pistol and well known for performing stringent testing. Prior to the DHL testing many thought that Glock had already had it won. DHL tested all the manufacturers who submitted to destruction and Glock failed. Would I still trust and carry the Glock? Absolutely, it's one of the best combat pistols ever produced.
The HK VP9 & SFP9 have passed all of the standard NATO tests and are NATO qualified. Not to say that MAC's testing is meaningless but it is not scientific and should not be relied on for procurement decisions.

Can-down,
The DHS guns that won were the SIG P226 and the HK P2000. Both hammer fired guns. Non Disclosure Agreements are signed with the testing results, so sorry can't share them here.

Who wouldn't want a gun the size of a Glock 17 with the capacity of a Glock 19? Totally makes sense.
Don't forget the awful magazine release.
Funny guy from States, learn restrictions in Canada. No matter which gun you get, it is 10 rnds only
