Rod I think you are right. I was experiencing sellers remorse and it was not even sold - lol

I just had this with my Anschutz 1710 MDT ACC... It was my dream rifle, as I have had a bunch of Anschutz over the years. Some of the trigger are like a blade of grass on your finger...

But.... I now have a CZ 457 re-barrelled with an IBI that I'm just assembling the way I want it, hoping it will have the same or better performance.

I have never seen a 10/22 clone win any 22rf Bench rest or 3P matches in the past when I shot competed , or even in the top five.
You must have a couple of really bad rifles and an anomoly in that 10/22!

Well WEEDS legal now you know!!! Im only guessing cuz I have only built around twenty now. They can be made to shoot very accurately but a bolt Benchguns a completely different animal. Gillis, Im happy you changed your mind. I was gonna send you an offer so ridiculous as to piss you off for you to remove the add but your smart part of your brain took over and you came to senses. Rimfire guns like that deserve to be in a special coral owned by a very select few. Those that know, know. I have a list of a few I consider worthy. Manitou,45Auto,Gillis,Horseman,Jefferson,DBanting,and of course my most respected Grauhanen. There may be a few others but theyve been banned Rabbidm4u5 or my Irish whiskey soaked old brain has forgotten. Appologies

In the last few years, I have had several Vudoos ( both single shot and repeaters ) and several Anschutz ( both single shot and repeaters ). At the moment, I have 2 Anschutz single shot and a Vudoo 360 repeater. So I consider I have quite an experience on that matter. The best answer to op's question has been given by Glenn ( Grauhannen ). In sum, it is an impossible question to answer. Kind of: Which high end sports car is the best, Lamborghini or Ferrarri ?. Too many variables to consider. That being said, both Anschutz and Vudoos are very accurate rifles but, a different shooting experience.
For me: I like to have both in my gun safe. Some days I feel like driving the Ferrarri, other days I want to take out the Lambo...

Gilbert

LOL!! I feel like it too I both in the have and like both Vudoo and Anschutz 54 are both great rifle!!

once again by Glenn ( Grauhannen ) is dead on on this analysis.

Annie. But just like everything else, not all Anschutz are the same. To address a comment made above, many of us use left handed Anschutz actions for Benchrest shooting. I’ve seen some really impressive groups out of an Ultimatum build too.

I have a Anschutz super match which I purchased from Gillis2 and a Vudoo V22. It's a toss up, depending on ammo and the day, but I think the Anschutz has the edge only because of the glass that's on it. Both are comparable.

I have both and a well built 10/22 will shoot circles around both of them. Save a ton of cash and build yourself a 10/22 clone.
Well apparently your on CRACK cuz thats not happening. Ill openly invite you to a challenge of as much as youd like too hand to me when I hand you ur axx on a plate with ur 10/22 clone. Pretty sure thisll be the end of this conversation. When the gate drops big mouth

At the September 100/200 metre shoot, two Vudoos finished first and second in unlimited (tied and X count determined first).
In August a Vudoo finished first in unlimited with a 593/600, and in Hunting class an Anschutz 1710 was first with 595/600.

I have now had a Vudoo V22S for a few months. I have shot it and other rifles, including a few Anschutz rifles. The Vudoo and Anschutz rifles shoot very much alike. Below is a comparison of results with two lots of Midas.

Keep in mind that the minor differences between the rifles are related to the fact they were not shot in identical conditions and that the ammo lots used are not always equally consistent from one box to the next.

These results are for ten-shot groups. The two Vudoo results are with 700 rounds in total (40 groups plus 30 groups). The Anschutz rifles shot a total of 1500 rounds of Midas.

It doesn't seem unreasonable to say that each lot performed similarly in all rifles, with ten-shot groups averaging about one inch.

I have three Annie’s. 64 MPR, 64MS silhouette and an1813 Supermatch as well as a Vudoo 360 and a V22 . The Vudoos and Annie’s are of equal abilities and just depends on what lot of ammo they’re eating. I’ve built many 10/22 custom clones! Many where the only Ruger part of the equation is the magazine. The only one remains in the stable is extremely accurate and can clean a KYL rack easily and repeatedly. However the bolts will beat it in the long run. I have shot 5x5 targets tighter than my bolt guns but averages the bolt gun wins everytime. In a gopher patch I won’t be stroking a bolt however and can reliably hit steel out too 400yds. 73.4 moa if curious.

I also own both The v22S Thanks Gilbert ;-) and also couple Anschutz including the 54.30 and Like both Guru's I highly respect for their knowledge ( Gillis 2 and Grauhannen) already said it all . both rifle are really capable and have so many variable in the equation. I qualify that as a personal choice at that level. Oh my nt and easy one that's why I have both and was also considering adding the 2500x in the mix at some point.
