VV N-550 with 150 in 30-06

I noticed my jug of IMR 4064 is getting light and I have had 2# of N550 for while so I'll like to use N550 for "Bang" (practice load). A practice load should be half ass accurate so you know when you miss, chuckle. I looked through my 250 loadings of 30-06 and nothing was highlighted so obviously I wasn't impressed. I guess I must have tried odd load but didn't work with it.

Powders have personalities. IMR 4350 is nice and lineal, consistent through a wide range of pressures where as N560 only comes on to it's own at a higher pressure. Anyone working with N550 notice anything ?
 
I have been using N550 for a while now, and I'm working on a load with a 150gr Remington SPCL bullet, so far I'm at 3113 fps with a ES of 26.4 and an SD of 13.2 , I'll be fine tuning it whenever I get more time. But my favorite load with the 550 is with a 168gr CT Ballistic Tip at 3037 fps out of a Rem 700 CDL 24' barrel. It's very accurate and I wouldn't consider it a practice load by any means. I think that N550 is one of the best available powders for the 30-06 with heavier bullet. JMHO

I have found that Varget with a 130gr TTSX will make just shy of 3400 fps.
