VZ 24 in 22cal. ?

I just came across this and have no idea what I looked at. The reciever was machined and half of the crest is gone. It appears to be set up as a single shots the magazine looks original. The barrel is interesting as it looks like it has a plastic liner when you look at the crown. The rest of the gun is in very good condition and appears to be packed in cosmoline. I looked for a manufacture date and found nothing. What was I looking at legit or has Bubba learned to use hand tools? Value? Certainly unique.

Did it have "0.22" branded on the bottom of the butt stock and have a green parkerized finish ?

The finish on the receiver over the bolt was shinny black and I don't remember seeing anything on the butt stock. The bolt itself was shinny and if I remember correctly numbered.

My guess is israeli K98 (VZ24) converted to .22 for training.

Black as in blued by chance ? Any way of getting a picture of the rifle as that would be an major help in identification.

Sorry boys this rifle is 200 kim. away and this boy didn't have the presence of mind to use his phone camera when he had the chance.
The black at the back of the receiver looked like paint but was in 100% condition.

This rifle just sold at auction to some one who obviously wanted it, $500.00 I wonder how it shoots?

The Israeli 22 trainers shoot well, I miss the one I had.
