That gas-system is a weird bird for sure. Stupid easy to take down all the way, though.

Easy to clean and no parts to lose. Simpler than that to clean, go see the Egyptian Rashid, derived from the Ljungman with a bit of SKS flavor.
The VZ gas system completely avoids the torque effects on the barrel normally associated with parallel piston designs. It works: VZ-52/57 are often noted for their accuracy and repeatability.

Yep I have a Ljungman too, and it is also easy to clean. Harder to take down all the way though.
