VZ 52/57 value?

I wouldn't sell mine for less than $500. There are lots of VZ 52's but VZ 52/57's are very hard to find. Parts, especially magazines are almost impossible to find for the 52/57. Do you have a line on these beauties and/or parts that you can share with the rest of us? PM me if you want to sell some.

My favorite milsurp rifle...period! I love these things, got 3 of em and payed anywhere from 300-500. Most are in superb shape but are definately not as common as sks. Still, I was shooing spent shotgun shells with mine, iron sights, at 30 meters....gotta love it!

btw this should be moved to the surps section

Ditto got a 52/57 with 6 mags....love it! Great shooter and solid built. If you can find mags buy them. With mags I have seen them go for 400 - 500.

where can one find VZ52/57 M43, other than buying secondhand from other shooter? Is there a dealer who carries these rifles in volume?

There must have been a bunch brought in a few years ago, then no more. Thats the way it is with surplus stuff. Buy it when you see it.
BTW, I got mine through the Buy and Sell in Van. for $100 about 12 or 15 years ago. Looks unissued. In fact, I was told by someone that when Czechoslovakia switched from the original 7.62 x 45mm to the Russian 7.62 x 39 round, they built a bunch of guns, then stored them for years before dumping them.

I just saw one for sale down in the states. Very good used condition with some extra mags. He is asking $1500.00 US!! It's a little steep, lets see what it sells for.

Still looking for mags.............

I see them at gunshops now and then for $200-250 in great shape. They often get confused for the VZ-52 which everyone knows is hard to feed... ;)

Please please please - pm me if you ever see another at those prices. I will buy all of them.

I sold mine in the early 90's for $180.00

I see a few going for $500.00 which seems a little rich to me.
