Just curious, what would a VZ52/57 be worth now a days? Receiver matches the stock, but the upper hand guard doesn't match. I haven't really played around with the rifle yet so i don't know if anything else matches. Appears to be a '58 production SHE factory. Let me know what you guys think#

Upper handguard litterally never match. I read somewere they were import separately...
I paid 800$ not long ago for mine at a gun show. I paid too much tho... But there kinda rare and i really wanted it. Yours looks pretty nice so you should be good selling it between 800-900 range easy. Just my opinion...Or keep it, its an awesome gun

You bought a serial number. Did you buy any ammunition? Have you tried to strip it?

I had one and sold it without firing.

its chambered in 7.62 x 39 so ammo is reallky easy to find. just got the rifle two days ago, will be shooting it this weekend. Anyone know how to clean the gas system from corrosive ammo?

I would never shoot corrosive out of my 52/57 not worth the hassle, This isn't a 150$ SKS...lol...

Plenty of good videos on youtube how to strip it.

I've got a VZ52/57, all matching, mint and unfired. Wouldn't think of parting with it any less than $1000.00. Maybe that's out to lunch, but try finding one as good for less.

I paid $199.00 at Lever Arms back in the mid 1980's. A spare magazine was $10.00. I would have filled my basement with them if I had thought they would appreciate this much.
