But @ $240 USD and the fact when cleaning you need an allen key is it really worth it? Anyone try it yet?

These were developed for either the Slovak or Czech military I can't remember which. I have one of the first ones made, got it a couple years ago. Its a very nice piece, well made and quite light. They were made to spec for military shooters that get to use somewhat clean burning non-corrosive ammo in fully chrome lined guns so the removal for cleaning issue is kinda negated as you can pump a couple thousand rounds through it without cleaning the gas system. Not ideal for the Canadian market due to the cleaning issue. That said I know of a couple people who have put a couple cases through their CZs between cleaning the gas system so it all depends on the person I guess.

I read that they do not fit on some rifles due to the gas block. I thought all the gas blocks were the same, but I hear that is not so. Where did I hear this?

True story. It was designed to work with a specific gas block, which wasn't an issue for the intended end user.

Last week however I was told that FAB has modified the design to work with all gas blocks.

From what I can tell there are 3 different gas blocks. One is smaller, for which this product was made, then there are two minor variations on the most common one we see here. My guess is that the smaller one is somehow newer production which would account for it being on weapons currently used by the military.
