Guys, just got new VZ-58 in trade from a gunnut. Apparently never shot.
Took her to the range and she shoots too high and too to the right.
I noticed the pin in the front sight is too high and little off to the side. Is there any trick how to adjust it?
It needs to be lowered and centered.

Thanks

If the rifle shoots "high", it is unlikely that the front post needs to be "lowered", that will make it shoot even higher.

It is normal to see some thread on the sight post. As posted above, there is a front sight adjustment tool, worth about $20-30, that can be used to raise and lower the post (easily done), or to move it from side to side (tool is very useful here).

For a rifle that shoots "high and to the right", you will want to move the front sight up and to the right.

Are you sure that your REAR sight is not over elevated for your target's range?
It doesn't appear to be from the photo.

I believe Corwin Arms is where I got my tool.
