Just wanted to share a project I worked on. A 5.56mm VZ-58 made to accept standard AK-74 mags by modifying the magazine well and adding an AKM magazine catch / trigger guard and also added an AKM pistol grip and AK74 triangular stock.

Looks great! You just need forend wood more like the one below. Modded to take AK74 mags is a really cool touch. Does it feed reliably with the AK mags?

It feeds all 5 rounds just fine haha. And I have some laminate wood handguards coming from ironwood designs.

No mods done to the magazine at all. And it may become 5.45x39 later on down the road haha.

Nice rifle - I really liked my 11 1/2 inch, just not the 5 round mags that didn't fit very well in pouches.
