Hey guys,

So I just got a gen2 mag adapter for my rifle and it's not seating my mags like it should. It seats 4 of my Lars great, a different 4 unreliably, and won't seat my beowulfs at all. When I remove the mag adapter and give the mags a gentle push into it they all seat quite well, so it's a fitting issue. The mags just need to seat another mm in.

I need some opinions,
I could grind down the catch on the mags (but I could then only use my own mags).
I could grind the top of the adapter (and void my warranty)
or I could send it back (though I am impatient like a child).

Thoughts?

I would modify the adapter if I modified anything, modifying the pistol mags in any way will make them prohibited as they would hold more than 5 rounds and are altered center fire mags in the eyes of the law. Sounds like your magwel is slightly skewed or pinching the plastic adapter slightly and causing your mags to not go in all the way perhaps? At any rate, it's a $80 item roughly right? If you have to tweak it a bit to get it to work it would be worth it, I doubt you'll destroy it if you just shave tiny amounts off the outside and test fit after removing any material.

I had the same problem with XCR mags. There is a ledge on the bottom of the feed ramp of the receiver. When using the adapter, the front of the mag (between the feed lips) comes into contact with the bottom of this ledge. When they folded the metal over at the front of the box when manufacturing the mag, it wasn't even, and this was causing the mag to sit too low and not latch into place. A few minutes with a file, or a dremel to carefully even out and slightly lower the front of the box fixed the problem.
