VZ 58 mags in Tacos

Hey guys,

Just trying to get a feel if anyone has ever tried the vz58 mags (7.62) in HSGI tacos. I can see them being easily removed, but reinserting may be a problem.
Anyone have experience with this combo?

G. Mitchell used to run tacos for his VZ mags, maybe he can chime in. IIRC he liked them.

It works, But i found you have to insert them upside down, the bottoms of the metal mags are to sharp and will scrap the plastic as you pull them out. The plastic FAB defense mags that Zahal sells work great in the tacos cus they are smooth and rounded.

I used to put vz mags in the taco style pouches. Reinsertion is indeed difficult to do quickly, and vz's are not viable 3 gun platforms so I stopped.

Sorry a little late to respond, yeah I ran both single taco pouches on an HSGI Costa Leg Rig, double tacos for a while, then soft taco on my chest rig.

The single taco pouches worked with. Getting the tension set right was critical. The doubles didn't work well for me though.

The soft taco once I got used to them I could run two mags in them and draw the mags one at a time.

I had no issues with my single tacos. When finished with a mag it went into a dump pouch hanging over my left ass cheek

All the time, no problem, just add some length to your bungee.
