I just ordered my first black rifle today, A VZ-58:D from Marstar. When I ordered it they told me that they were out of stock for the muzzle brake.

Does anyone if there are any other sources for these muzzle brakes? How do other muzzle brakes, such as Dlask's compare to these. I seem to have gotten the impression that the Marstar ones are the best.

Any help is appreciated.

My Marstar brake works well, but initially would not thread-on to the point where the spring-pin would engage in the locking slot. To get the pin to lock, I would have to back it off almost a full turn, and then it was too loose on the end of the barrel. I ended up having my local gunsmith lathe it down, now it fits perfectly.

Just a "heads up" in case you encounter a similar problem.

I've got a source on some of the Czech muzzle brakes (looks like two large slots on the top of them - but min. order is 10 brakes - so I thought I'd feel out some CGNr's and see if there is interest.

They'd be anywhere from $30 - $35.00
