VZ 58 Muzzle Brake tests

You get both recoil reduction and a reduction in muzzle flip with that one. It must be quite loud to the shooter though?

My buddy I go shooting with complains more when standing next to the NEA heavy brake than the SEI Navy, which I find odd considering how much more energy is in a .308. His main complaint is being hit with hot particles of unburned powder. When standing next to his CZ with the Dlask A6, I occasionally get hit with unburned powder.

Personally when I stand next to the smith I find it jolts me more than the NEA Heavy, but I find both equally annoying to stand beside. Obviously the force of the concussion wave goes to the m14.

I've almost got my lathe put back together, I'm going to have to make a smith style to try on my cz.

I suspect the complaints about the slant brake overcompensating are all from 19" barrelled guns. Looks like it's a good choice for carbines and compacts.
