vz 58 saftey?

Has anyone thought about or attempted to move the saftey from one side of an 858 or 58 to the other? Im using it more and more as a tactical gun, (practicing with a bigger bore so that when i go to 5.56 at work its like .22) and the saftey is really bugging me as it flips the opposite direction and is on the right side.

Any suggestions?

If your right handed then you can operate the safety with your trigger finger. A lefty model could be designed easy enough but I'm not sure its worth the trouble.

I, too, have thought that I'd prefer it on the left... an ambi safety would be sweeeet

The question is what would you pay for something like that. Anything can happen but is there a market?

the safety is alread ambidexterous not perfect but it works well as a right hand trigger finger safety or a left hand thumb safety

well im not exactly looking for ambi... im looking for a right hand thumb saftey... the other thing i would have to consider would be the positioning of the saftey... i dont know about other people but mine is rather stiff and trying to flick it UP to fire would be slow and tough.
