Just got myself a vz 58 sporter and I'm trying to figure out how to adjust the front sight post. I'm under the impression that I need to order the AK sight adjusting tool and I can't doing anything until then? It doesn't look like the gun came with anything to adjust the sight with. Seems rather inconvenient... Any help would be appreciated.

Did it come with a tool that looks like a tooth pick at one end and a weird looking notch outta the other end??

That will raise and lower the front sight, IF it came with it. Otherwise ya you may have to buy one of the AK front sight tools

Matter of fact it did come with that tool. The manual called it the "needle" looks like a toothpick on one end and a rounded off alen key at the other. No weird looking notch though.

Without the screw-type sight adjuster you can do the windage with a punch and hammer.

You can make an elevation tool buy cutting a slot in the threaded end of a bolt that's about the same diameter as the post. Turn it with a wrench on the bolt head.
