I own a vz-58, all the aftermarket stocks I see sold by Zahal, Canadian dealers, etc are all M4 style adjustable folding stocks. What I really want is a stock like the one on the CZ 858, solid, one piece standard buttstock. But of course I do not want the one that comes on the CZ858, would look odd with the black handguards on my rifle. Any other vz/cz owners who have bought and changed out stocks with FIXED standard buttstocks on the market that fit?

I got one off the EE market. I posted a WTB add for a black regular stock. They come on some CSA models.
Luckily someone responded, got a great deal and it should arrive today in the mail :)

Yep, try the EE for fixed plastic. It's a long shot, though. I lucked into mine by calling / emailing retailers who were selling the CSA VZ58s. One of them happened to have a spare set of plastic (Kelly's).

The other obvious option is to just paint a beaver barf stock. I would have done that myself, actually, but I found the plastic stock before I found a beaver barf buttstock at a reasonable price.

Instead of making a new thread, for those who switched out their stock. Which tool did you use to get the bolt out? Just a long flat head screwdriver? I couldn't tell with my flash light is there was threading for an allen key.

Use a big old fashioned screwdriver.
