vz-58 vs. cz-858

I have a couple CSA's and a couple CZ's. I love them both. The safety on the CSA should rotate the other way and then it would be perfect. Are the Csa guns worth the extra money? Not in my opinion. Buy the cz and ammo and duracoat if you want for the money that you would pay for the CSA.

I agree with saskcop I like my milsurps to be as they are issued. Though not pretty the military are not concerned about pretty. I like the coarse machining and ugly blue paint because thats the way it was issued and correct. Just me though.

Its not just czech ammo thats corrosive. Its most of the cheap surplus and, just to dispel a rumour, WD40 doesnt neutralize the salts... water does. WD40 only coats the over the salts and stops air from getting to them which prevents the rust. The salts are still there and the gun should still be cleaned properly.

For the love of god, please stop telling people who are new to 7.62x39 milsurp to clean their guns with water. Think about it...water to prevent corrosion...makes no sense does it?

Water is exactly how to clean that milsurp after shooting corrosive ammo. Use boiling hot water and it will be dry in seconds. No chance of rust.
