I'm still waiting to find out exactly what we are waiting to get. There are already NR vz.58's and 858's.

Everyone has been waiting around for 8 months and the only thing I have read in the 17 pages of this thread is that it has a chrome bore
and the date it is to arrive gets delayed more and more (6 months so far). I don't care about the wait at all as I just started seriously considering
purchasing one. I would hate to be one of you guys waiting since its been announced.

But seriously, I would like to know exactly what is coming compared to what we already have. If it is chrome lined barrel only. Can't say I really care.

PS: Thank you JNA for keeping us updated! Even if it's always bad news lol. But don't worry. We won't shoot the messenger!
 
Chromed is about all I can find as well.

But since I don't yet own one, and don't need one immediatly, might as well wait for the chromed.
 
I am for one jumping ship cant wait for the vz. I have ordered an FSN from Marstar when and if the vz showsup i will consider buying one at that time. I dont care for the waiting without a fixed delivery date

Having a chrome lined barrel will make a way more weather proof and durable gun .. Not really a big advantage for the average shooter but if your in the military or out in the rainy cold bush for multiple days shooting corrosive ammo its a must have ..

I live out on the west coast and have spent alot of time in the wet bush , i ruined one 858 bore already and had many cases stuck in the chamber being out there a few days shooting czech surplus , now i take a chrome lined SKS out there and the only parts that will rust a bit are ones that dont effect accuracy, no issues great bush gun the bore still looks mint but the blueing finish and stock is starting to look a bit Rez lol.

Thanks for the update JNA, I've been checking back periodically for your posts. We've been waiting a long time for these bad boys!
 
I just joined so I could ask a question on this thread. Hi everyone! now for my
question, who is this John person and how can I contact him when these units
arrive. Thanks in advance for an answer I hope I get!
 
Unless my google-fuu is not yet fully awake this morning, I cannot spot the VZ-58 rifles per-se on the website. I can find accessories (pouches, scope mount, magazines, cases...) but not the actual rifle. Moreover, the "Firearms -> Rifles" section does not list either CZ or CSA.
