I did not want to post it in a separate thread so here it is.
Imagine the scenario:
You pull the trigger , the rifle fires , the casing breaks in half inside the chamber , the rear part gets ejected the front one still in the chamber.
The action cycles , you have another round half way ( or whatever percentage of it) in the chamber , you pull the trigger and the rifle WILL fire out of battery. This happens because the auto sear is not present. The auto sear would hold the striker until the bolt completely closes preventing out of battery fire. Try it yourself. Make the firearm safe , charge the bolt and on its way back place a penny or a nickel at the mouth of the chamber , pull the trigger...

. Am I right ?
