I suggest that the 59 uses the same old belts that the have been kicking around Russia well before WWII. Follow me? ;) That is why you don't want it in 7.62mm NATO.

Exactly. There is no sense in paying big coin for a belt fed so you can shoot 5 rounds at a time.

Considering these will likely be put together from spare parts i'd say 900-1200 would be fair.

We were at the range with the IA a few months ago and a company of them had new Czech MGs instead of PKMs. I'd rather have a PKM but damn still cool to have any 7.62x54 mg in Canada.
