It does have the dimple in receiver. Weird gas block and gas tube, garage made, probably.
That's because the barrel and the bolt carrier (piston rod) don't match lenghtwise. It happen when you mix civilian parts with surplus. There something fishy about the bolt carrier cover, the front and the back of it.
Molded mags, not necessary original.

It's kind of funny how there are 100's of treads for AR... But only one for the VZ...

It must be that the VZ is 100 times better then the AR and doesn't all that thinkering to get them to work
