I'm going to buy one of these suckers tommorow.

Well so much for buying one today, I just read that post about chromed non restricted versions......I need to get one of those, then throw it on my bed and roll around on it for a while.

Thanks, but I cannot take credit for this.
The truth is that this marathon thread was started, shaped and maintained by Deckard. I am amazed by so much time and determination he puts in all this.
What makes it a great thread is the huge public interest in these cool guns.
Of course, there was a lot of help from many people: palinak and his toys, timelord who froze my comp with the amount of pics he posted and many, many others.


I am just a visitor here.
I tried sometimes to help, when and if I could.
Yes, I made some jokes, which were not always of the best quality,
I provoked him, bug him, I rattled his chain (and not only in this thread).
He ALWAYS played along, cool and tactful.

I think that EVERY board needs a Deckard. And if they don't have him, they should grow one. These are the people who keep the forums alive.

Since I have had already two questions where the rubber butt pad came from here is the story:

It way larger than needed but inner dimensions are just fine for vz58's folder. So I cut it around with sharp knife and then used Dremel tool sandpaper cylinder attachments, also some Birchwood Casey Gun Scrubber on a cloth to smooth it up at the end.
 
hey,
deckard. you seem to be around these rifles all day. do you know where i can find the holographic sights? i think their called OKO? and also the base for it.
