Q: Considering this monster thread, what do you think of the VZ-58 type rifle?

  • It is a beauty as it comes, and a must have, since it drives Libs bonkers.

  • It is true it was the first cool gun in the Cdn. market for a long while, but I'll pass.

It's the original handle after being severely mutilated by my mill , Dremel and then polished. You can get away with
the Dremel alone if you have a steady hand :D .

Im also sorry to hear about the Mill... so whats up with the allen key/pin?

The "allen key/pin" is there for a purpose obviously.
It is 4mm and its purpose is to secure the front of the optics mount platform which is visible on the left side of the receiver. It will accept any POSP or similar Russian style scope or scope mount and requires no gunsmithing to install.

Oh boy , yet another stock option. This rifle is so versatile that I could not resist:D. Not tested at the range yet. Will most likely have to play with the stock spring tension to make sure the action cycles all the way and ejects properly.
