looks like us yanks have the chance to buy vz 58's in different configrations, check this out www .czechpoint-usa.com i just got one with the Military Folding stock with black polymer handguards and cost me about 875 dollars. not a bad deal with the current political buyout induced panic, right now not a alot of people know about these rifles and i am lucky to get one before they become popular. BETTER THAN A AK47 and 30 round mags are cheap about 10 dollars

p.s all of the ak47's and ar15's are sold out everywhrere in america and all 7.62x39 ammo is out of stock and dealers are asking about 350 dollars a case of 1000 rounds if they have any. Before the election was about 200 dollars a case. i am new here to this website, you guys have alot of info on the vz58's

Welcome to CGN, Is there any chance you can post some pics, and some of the internals just wondering how those are done compared to ours.

Yep, and they are only $2.50 in Czech Rep, Thats like the AK mags, Someone like drilling our asses  there is no facking way a pop rivet costs that much extra. Didnt someone here say they were supposed to bring mags in super cheap?

And a case of the surpluss Ammo is going for $30 Can in CZ and in Germany it is going for $20 per case.

Yup much drilling.

The usa guns have to be re-milled in america to accept military magazines. Different receiver from the canadian model. That why they have 10 round single stack magazines, to fit the original receiver.

I just built one about a month ago with a military parts kit and an ORF receiver. The kit with a couple mags was $60 USD and the receiver was $250. I think the prices are a little higher now but still a good deal. The Vz-58 is even easier to build than an AK. I recall it was just about 2 hours putting it together and checking headspacing. The longest part was making a rivet for the trigger guard. Takes regular military mags without machining the magwell.

If we didn't have to deal with this pop rivet BS I'm certain ALL magazines would be cheaper in Canada. It's a hassle to put the rivets in. Especially when there are enough other countries out there asking for magazines to keep your business afloat without Canada's money.
