Vz 59

DECKARD;
As I have explained 100000000000000 times, we cannot have ammo land in Vancouver....
It must travel from China to Germany, From Germany to Montreal....
The shipping is outrageous.

DAR 701;
I don't want anyone to misuderstand my words....

At Marstar we make every effort to follow the rules....

We are governed and watched over by;
The CFC, the CFO, The RCMP, Canada Customs/Revenue Canada, Natural Resources Canada Explosieves Section, The Controlled Goods Directorate, DFAIT, etc, etc..

My main preocupation is for us to stay out of trouble, I really do not care what "other stores or dealers" are doing.... If they want to face massive fines and other sanctions that is there priviledge....

Getting the licenses we now enjoy was a long and arduous task it is not our intention to put ourselves in the line of fire for a few cases of ammo.
Regards
John

Considering the pics I remember being up on the Marstar website of choppers in the air and MP-5 toting cops rummaging around John's stuff I really don't blame him for not selling the ammo...

If the order came from Natural Resources my guess is that there is some mercury in the cartriges, or some other toxic metals that Natural Resources does not like.

John,

Just wondering, but why is S&B Surplus 7.62 x 54r not approved for sale?

I believe the issue is a matter of proceedure. Previously, NRCAN would test certain batches of ammo, and if all was well, the manufacturer's whole line was approved. Now they seem to be demanding each and every specific load be tested and approved.

While the S&B 7.62x39 fmj is approved, it would seem that the tracer in that caliber, and the x54 ball is not.

Was telling my gf about this, a friggen semi auto machine gun that I can afford! Well maybe I suppose, christmas too has really dried up my funds and I still have an AR upper to buy before then..

Maybe just not 'yet'. Sounds to me like it hasn't gone through testing officially thus the reason it cannot be sold?

I found out about this on Saturday and I can't stop thinking about it, I already warned my wife that if/when they are available I'm getting one. This is the coolest thing I've seen in a long time. I hope some more info comes soon....

I wa at a military show in the UK a couple of years ago and played with a deactivated one. Very nice came with lots of accesories and wooden chest. Was thinking at the time it would be great to have a semiauto version and now it may come true.
