You can cantilever a scope over the dust cover.

thats what i was thinking for maybe an aimpoint 3x mag, but it looks like if it sat above the cover it wouldn't co witness, or be off a tiny bit, but i have no experience on that. need a flattop dust cover and flat cantilever mount that quick detaches.

A riser on the hand guard will fix that

Looks like the rear sight would be back too far. Maybe a cantilever type setup for the rear would be better.

The problem is im a moron and installed the Troy battle sight wrong. It should be flipped the other way around which would position it similar to where Tech Sight's SKS and AK adapters put their aperture sight.

Rear peep!

Can that rear peep sight be used in conjunction with the standard VZ's front sight?
That should give a real long and good sighting plane!
In that case, I think the use of a scope would be less necessary when shooting for precision up to 200 meters.
What I would like to see is a STEEL adaptor plate that would fit at the rear of the receiver, allow use of a peep sight with either the standard stock or the issue folding one and NOT look like a Wart-from-Hell.
A drum peep "à la SIG" would look terrific.

...and enameled the same "Bluke" color as the original furniture, please! :D

Me Want

Yes! after not so much thinking over ;), I WANT a tilted-drum peepsight mounted on a spacer-like base (or welded to the original folding stock base, you choose).
It will give a much longer sighting plane than the original rear sight (removal of the rear sight elevator will be necessary) and be designed to allow easy removal of the carrier cover for cleaning.
OK, I know Christmas is passed but...
Now, how much and when?!! (pant-pant!) :stirthepot2::popCorn::D

Easy enough.. shoot me a XS set for the AK and I'll make them fit.

Rear sight is easy.. front sight needs a small part made. Can be done by hand, a couple glasses of scotch later and it'll be done. ;)

Easier yet is to get a set of Trijicon AR inserts and drop them into a BUIS set like Charles has there...
