Anybody here use G10 grips on a revolver? I have a S&W 1917 that feels pretty snappy with the loads I'm shooting right now and wood stocks, and while they're fine for target practice I'd like to start using this gun in various competitions. I'll need something that's a gentler on my hand. I've never felt this G10 material before but both VZ and Hogue offer them, and they look good. I can always just scoop some Pachmyars but I'm curious about what the G10 stuff is like. Will it reduce the felt recoil like a rubber grip, or is it pretty rigid?

Any insight is appreciated. Also do dump pics of guns wearing these G10 grips if you have them as I think they look awesome.

G10 feels like hard plastic. It will not reduce perceived recoil. The main advantages of G10 are that it's durable and non-slippery.

my dad had hard plastic one on one of his pistols and they where hurint everyones hands so he swapped them out with some Hogue overmolded ones, dream to shoot that gun now.

my GP100 runs the Hogue overmolded ones as well.
love them.
